Roles Based on App Level Permissions
The following two roles, Admin and Manager, are used to differentiate users with additional permissions to manage their company and/or team in Second Nature. Both of these permission sets are sufficient for creating and editing courses.
Admin: Admins have the maximum permissions within the app. This role is required for configuring your Second Nature account settings, such as inviting users, editing user info, deactivating accounts and modifying the hierarchy. Admin users can view and manage all teams within your organization.
Trainer: Trainers have limited admin permissions within the app. They can invite users, assign users, and access data. However, unlike admins, trainers do not have the ability to edit courses.
Manager: Managers can view analytics for one or more teams. In large organizations, there may be different tiers of management, where one manager has access to two teams while another has access to five. Unlike admin, managers will not have access to information on trainees outside of their team(s).
Roles Based on Course Level Permissions
The following roles are used to identify a user in relation to individual courses. Users can have multiple roles, such as being an editor and evaluator for one course, while simply being a trainee for another.
Course Creators: These users can create and edit courses, as well as assign course trainees and evaluators.
Evaluator: Evaluators grade the courses they are assigned to, providing feedback to trainees on their performance.
Trainee: Trainees are the end users taking a course for education or evaluation purposes. They are expected to complete courses assigned to them and may elect to take on demand courses.
